The Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at Building 92 (BNYC92) will serve as a gateway to the community. Through permanent and rotating exhibitions and programming that will explore the Yard’s rich and illustrious history serving both national and local communities, its evolution to become a national model for sustainable industrial parks and its continuing role as a vital economic, manufacturing and cultural hub of Brooklyn. Housed in the renovated 1857 Marine Commandant’s Residence with a modern extension, BNYC92 will educate and inform Brooklynites, New Yorkers and the public about the significant role the Brooklyn Navy Yard has played, and continues to play, in the history of the United States and Brooklyn.
